Unpacking and Setup

Carefully unpack all components and place the machine on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove packaging materials and protective covers.
  2. Attach the accessory tray to the free arm if detached.
  3. Connect the foot pedal to the machine port.
  4. Plug the power cord into the machine and then into a wall outlet.
  5. Install the needle and thread the machine (see Section 8).

WARNING! Do not lift the machine by the handwheel or LCD panel. Handle with care to avoid damage.

First-Time Operation

Power on the machine; the LCD will illuminate.

  1. Select a stitch: Turn the stitch selection dial to choose a stitch number.
  2. Adjust stitch length/width: Use the adjustment buttons next to the LCD.
  3. Thread the machine: Follow the numbered threading guide on the machine.
  4. Insert bobbin: Place wound bobbin in the drop-in case, thread under the tension spring.
  5. Test sew: Use scrap fabric to check tension and stitch formation.

CAUTION! Keep fingers away from the needle area during operation. Always turn off the machine when threading or changing accessories.

Stitch Selection and Settings

Turn the stitch selection dial to choose from 70 stitches (01-70). Stitch categories:

  1. Utility Stitches (01-10): Straight, zigzag, stretch, and overcast stitches.
  2. Decorative Stitches (11-50): Scallop, feather, and cross stitches.
  3. Heirloom Stitches (51-70): Quilting and decorative embroidery-style stitches.
  4. Buttonholes (01-05 on buttonhole setting): 5 styles with auto-size adjustment.

Tip: Refer to the stitch chart on the machine or manual for recommended fabric and presser foot for each stitch.

Threading and Bobbin Winding

Supports standard sewing thread and bobbin winding from the top spool.

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place spool on holder, thread through guides following numbered path.
  3. Use automatic needle threader: Lower lever, hook thread, release lever.
  4. Wind bobbin: Place empty bobbin on winder, thread through tension disc, press winder to start.
  5. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread running counterclockwise, pull thread through slot.

WARNING! Always turn power off when threading. Ensure bobbin is correctly seated to avoid jams.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Unplug machine before cleaning. Remove needle plate to access bobbin area.

  1. Use brush to remove lint from bobbin case and feed dogs.
  2. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth.
  3. Oil sparingly as per manual instructions (use only sewing machine oil).
  4. Replace needle regularly (after 8-10 hours of sewing).

CAUTION! Do not use compressed air or liquids. Store in a dry, dust-free location.

Safety Information

Read all instructions before use. Keep away from children. Do not operate with damaged cord or plug. Always unplug when not in use or during maintenance. Use correct needle and bobbin types. Do not sew over pins.
