Unpacking and Setup

  4. Install the Accessory Tray (if removable) and open the extension table.
  5. Raise the Presser Foot Lever and install the needle.
  6. Wind and insert the bobbin following the diagram in the manual.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from the needle and moving parts during operation. Always turn the power off and unplug the machine before changing needles, cleaning, or performing maintenance.

Getting Started

Power on the machine; the LCD screen will illuminate.

  1. Thread the Machine: Follow the numbered threading path on the machine. Use the automatic needle threader.
  2. Insert the Bobbin: Place the wound bobbin into the bobbin case with the thread running counter-clockwise. Pull the thread under the tension spring.
  3. Raise the Bobbin Thread: Hold the upper thread, turn the handwheel toward you to lower and raise the needle, pulling the bobbin thread up.
  4. Select a Stitch: Use the stitch selection buttons or dial to choose your desired stitch. The number and settings will appear on the LCD.
  5. Test Sew: Place fabric under the presser foot, lower the foot, and gently press the foot controller to begin sewing.
