Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and foam.
  2. Attach the extension table (if included) by sliding it into place.
  3. Plug the power cord into a 120V AC outlet and the machine.
  4. Install the foot pedal and connect it to the machine.
  5. Raise the presser foot lever and install a needle (flat side to the back).
  6. Wind and insert the bobbin into the drop-in bobbin case.
  7. Thread the upper thread using the automatic needle threader.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from the needle area during setup and operation. Ensure the machine is unplugged when threading the needle or changing accessories.

First-Time Operation

Power on the machine using the power switch; the LED light will illuminate.

  1. Select a straight stitch (position "1" on dial) for basic sewing.
  2. Place fabric under the presser foot, lower the presser foot lever.
  3. Gently press the foot pedal to start sewing. Control speed with pedal pressure.

CAUTION! Always turn the handwheel toward you (counter-clockwise) to avoid timing issues. Never pull fabric while sewing; let the feed dogs move it.

Basic Sewing Operations

  2. Guide fabric gently; do not push or pull.
  3. Use the reverse lever at the start and end of seams.
  4. To pivot, stop with needle down in fabric, raise presser foot, turn fabric, lower presser foot, continue.
  5. For buttonholes: Attach buttonhole foot, select buttonhole stitch, place fabric, lower lever, sew automatically.

Tip: Test stitch settings on a scrap of your project fabric first.

WARNING! Ensure the needle is appropriate for the fabric (e.g., ballpoint for knits). Always use the correct presser foot for the selected stitch.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the machine before any maintenance. Regular cleaning prevents lint buildup and ensures smooth operation.

  1. Remove the needle plate screws and lift off the needle plate.
  2. Use the small brush provided to clean lint from the feed dogs and bobbin area.
  3. Occasionally oil the hook race and other points as indicated in the manual (use only sewing machine oil).
  4. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth.
  5. Replace the needle regularly (after every 8-10 hours of sewing or with each new project).

CAUTION! Never use compressed air to clean the machine as it can force lint deeper. Do not immerse any part of the machine in water.
