Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Screwdriver set
  • Needle threader
  • Bobbin winder
  • Lint brush
  • Measuring tape

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a stable, level surface with adequate lighting and easy access to power outlet.
  2. Unpack Machine: Remove all packaging materials, protective covers, and shipping supports from the sewing machine.
  3. Setup Power: Connect the foot pedal to the machine and plug the power cord into a properly grounded 120V outlet.
  4. Thread the Machine: Follow the threading guide printed on the machine to properly thread the upper thread.
  5. Wind Bobbin: Wind the bobbin using the built-in bobbin winder and insert it into the bobbin case.
  6. Install Needle: Insert the appropriate needle type for your fabric, ensuring it's properly seated and tightened.
  7. Test Run: Run the machine on scrap fabric to test stitching and adjust tension if necessary.
Warning: Always unplug the machine before changing needles or performing maintenance. Use only Brother-approved accessories.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
