Unpacking and Setup

Carefully unpack all components and place the machine on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove the machine and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Place the machine on a sturdy table near a power outlet.
  3. Connect the foot pedal to the machine and plug the power cord into the outlet.
  4. Install the needle (flat side toward the back) and thread the machine following the threading guide.
  5. Wind and insert the bobbin into the drop-in bobbin case.

WARNING! The sewing machine is heavy; lift with care using both hands. Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit.

Getting Started

Power on the machine using the switch on the right side. Select a basic straight stitch for your first practice.

  1. Turn the handwheel toward you to raise the needle to its highest position.
  2. Place fabric under the presser foot, lower the presser foot lever, and gently press the foot pedal to start sewing.
  3. Use the reverse stitch lever at the beginning and end of seams to lock stitches.
  4. Adjust stitch length and width using the corresponding dials for different fabric types and effects.
  5. Practice on scrap fabric to become familiar with speed control and stitch quality.

CAUTION! Always turn off the machine and unplug it when changing needles, cleaning, or not in use.

Stitch Selection Dial: Turn to select from 25 built-in stitches. Symbols and numbers correspond to stitch patterns.

Stitch Width Dial: Adjusts the width of zigzag and decorative stitches (0-5mm).

Reverse Stitch Lever: Hold down to sew in reverse for securing seams.

Handwheel: Manually raise and lower the needle. Always turn toward you (counterclockwise).

Presser Foot Lever: Raises and lowers the presser foot.

Bobbin Winder: Winds thread onto the bobbin automatically when engaged.

Basic Sewing Operations

Follow these steps for general sewing tasks.

  1. Raise the presser foot and place fabric under it, aligning the edge with desired seam guide.
  2. Lower the presser foot. Hold the thread tails toward the back.
  3. Gently press the foot pedal to start sewing. Guide fabric gently without pulling.
  4. At the end of the seam, press the reverse lever to sew a few stitches backward, then release and sew off the fabric.
  5. Raise the presser foot and pull the fabric toward the back to release threads. Cut threads using the built-in thread cutter or scissors.

Tip: Always test stitches on a scrap piece of your project fabric first to check tension and settings.

Stitch Selection and Settings

The machine offers utility stitches (straight, zigzag), decorative stitches, and stretch stitches for knits.

  1. Refer to the stitch chart on the machine or manual to identify stitch patterns and recommended uses.
  2. Turn the stitch selection dial to the desired stitch number.
  3. For straight stitch: Set stitch width to 0. For zigzag: Adjust width as needed.
  4. Adjust stitch length: Shorter for finer fabrics, longer for basting or thicker materials.
  5. For buttonholes: Select the one-step buttonhole stitch, place fabric under buttonhole foot, and follow the automatic cycle.
  6. Use the appropriate presser foot for specialized tasks (zipper foot, buttonhole foot, etc.).

WARNING! Ensure the needle is in the highest position before changing stitches or presser feet to avoid damage.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

Daily: Remove lint and dust from the bobbin area and feed dogs using the provided brush.

Periodically: Oil the machine as instructed in the manual (specific points indicated). Use only sewing machine oil.

Needle Replacement: Replace the needle after every project or if it becomes dull or bent.

CAUTION! Always unplug the machine before performing any maintenance. Never use compressed air to clean the machine.

Safety Information
