Stitch Selection & Settings

Using the stitch dial and adjustment controls.

Stitch Selection: Turn the dial to the symbol or number of your desired stitch.

Stitch Length Dial: Controls how long each stitch is. Higher numbers for longer stitches (basting), lower for shorter (fine fabrics).

Stitch Width Dial: Controls how wide the zigzag or decorative stitches are. Set to 0 for straight stitch.

Tension Dial: Usually set between 4-5 for balanced stitches. Adjust if stitches are looping (decrease tension) or breaking (increase tension).

Buttonhole Function

  1. Attach the buttonhole foot.
  2. Select the one-step buttonhole stitch on the dial.
  3. Place the fabric under the foot and lower the presser foot lever.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular care ensures optimal performance.

Daily: Brush away lint from the needle plate and bobbin area after each project.

Oiling: Refer to the manual for specific oiling points. Use only sewing machine oil.

Needle Replacement: Turn off machine. Loosen the needle clamp screw, remove the old needle, and insert a new one with the flat side toward the back. Tighten the screw.

Storage: Cover the machine when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Unplug the machine before any cleaning or maintenance. Never use compressed air, as it can force lint into the mechanism.
