Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Lift machine by its carrying handle.
  2. Attach power cord: Plug into machine and wall outlet (120V AC).
  3. Install foot pedal: Connect to machine port and place on floor.
  4. Attach accessory box: Store accessories in compartment or nearby.
  5. Remove free arm cover: Slide off to access free arm for sleeve/cuff sewing.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off and unplug for maintenance.

First-Time Operation

Plug in power, turn on power switch (located on right side).

  1. Wind bobbin: Follow threading diagram; place bobbin on winder spindle.
  2. Thread upper thread: Use built-in needle threader for ease.
  3. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread pulling counterclockwise.
  4. Select stitch: Turn stitch selection dial to desired pattern.
  5. Test sew: Use scrap fabric to adjust tension and stitch settings.

CAUTION! Use correct needle for fabric type. Replace bent or dull needles immediately.

Stitch Selection: Turn dial to align desired stitch number with marker. Refer to stitch chart on machine.

Stitch Length: Adjust for shorter/longer stitches (0-4mm). Stitch Width: Adjust for narrower/wider stitches (0-5mm). Tension Control: Dial for upper thread tension (usually set to 4 for normal fabrics). Presser Foot Pressure: Adjustable lever for different fabric thicknesses.

Stitch Selection and Use

Select from 35 stitches for various projects.

  1. Utility Stitches (1-6): Straight, zigzag, stretch stitches for seams and finishing.
  2. Decorative Stitches (7-35): Scallop, honeycomb, smocking for embellishment.
  3. Buttonhole: Select stitch #30, attach buttonhole foot, follow automatic process.
  4. Blind Hem: Use blind stitch foot and appropriate stitch pattern.
  5. Zipper Insertion: Use zipper foot for easy installation.

Tip: Always test stitch on fabric scrap before starting project.

Threading and Bobbin Winding

Proper threading is essential for smooth operation.

  1. Upper Threading: Follow numbered guides from spool pin to needle. Use built-in needle threader.
  2. Bobbin Winding: Place spool on pin, thread through guide, wrap around bobbin, push bobbin winder to right, press foot pedal.
  3. Bobbin Insertion: Open cover, drop bobbin so thread unwinds counterclockwise, pull thread through slot.
  4. Drawing Up Bobbin Thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you until needle goes down/up, pull upper thread to bring bobbin thread up.

WARNING! Ensure presser foot is raised when threading. Lower foot before sewing.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug machine before cleaning. Regularly remove lint and dust.

  1. Cleaning Feed Dogs: Use small brush to remove lint from teeth.
  2. Bobbin Area: Remove bobbin case and clean with brush.
  3. Exterior: Wipe with soft, dry cloth.
  4. Oiling: Refer to manual for specific oiling points; use only sewing machine oil.

CAUTION! Do not use compressed air; it can force lint deeper. Never immerse in water.
