Unpacking & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and protective covers.
  2. Attach the accessory tray to the free arm if detached.
  3. Plug the foot pedal into the machine port.
  4. Connect the power cord to the machine and plug into a 120V AC outlet.
  5. Turn on the power switch.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from the needle area during setup and operation. Ensure the machine is unplugged during initial assembly.

First-Time Operation

Power on the machine; the LED light will illuminate.

  1. Wind and insert the bobbin: Follow the threading diagram for the drop-in bobbin system.
  2. Thread the upper thread: Use the automatic needle threader for ease.
  3. Select a stitch: Turn the stitch selector dial to a basic straight stitch (e.g., #1).
  4. Practice sewing: Place fabric under the presser foot, lower the foot, and gently press the foot pedal.
  5. Adjust speed: Use the speed control slider for slower practice sewing.

CAUTION! Always lower the presser foot before sewing. Keep hands clear of the moving needle.

Stitch Selection & Settings

  3. For zigzag (pattern 4-6), adjust width as needed.
  4. For buttonhole (pattern 29), attach the buttonhole foot and follow the guide.
  5. For decorative stitches, select pattern 7-28; adjust length and width for effect.
  6. Test stitch on a fabric scrap before starting your project.

Tip: Always use the correct presser foot for the selected stitch (e.g., buttonhole foot for buttonholes).

Threading & Bobbin Winding

Supports standard sewing thread and bobbins.

  1. Bobbin Winding: Place spool on pin, thread through guide, wind onto bobbin until automatically full.
  2. Inserting Bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread pulling counterclockwise; pull thread through slot.
  3. Upper Threading: Follow numbered path on machine; use automatic needle threader by pulling lever down.
  4. Drawing Up Bobbin Thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you to bring bobbin thread up.

WARNING! Ensure machine is off or needle is in highest position when threading. Do not force dials or levers.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Regularly clean lint from bobbin area and feed dogs with brush provided.

  1. Remove needle plate screws to access bobbin area for thorough cleaning.
  2. Oil sparingly as per manual instructions (specific points only).
