Control Panel: LCD Screen, Stitch Selection Dial/Buttons, Stitch Length/Width Adjustment Buttons, Reverse Stitch Button, Needle Up/Down Button, Start/Stop Button (if equipped), Speed Control Slider.

Utility: Straight stitch, zigzag, blind hem, stretch stitches. Decorative: Scallop, shell, feather stitches. Basic Sewing Techniques

Straight Seam: Use stitch 01. Zigzag: Use stitch 02 or 03 for finishing edges. Buttonhole: Select the one-step buttonhole symbol, place button in foot, and start sewing.

  1. Always test stitch settings on a scrap of your project fabric.
  2. Match the needle and thread type to your fabric (e.g., universal needle for woven fabrics, ballpoint for knits).
  3. Use the appropriate presser foot for the technique (e.g., zigzag foot for general sewing, buttonhole foot for buttonholes).
  4. For pivoting corners, stop with needle down in fabric, raise presser foot, turn fabric, lower presser foot, and continue.

Tip: Refer to the stitch guide printed on the machine or in the manual for recommended settings and presser feet.

Stitch Selection & Settings

Supports utility, decorative, and heirloom stitches.

  1. Select Stitch: Turn the stitch selection dial or press the category button until the desired stitch number appears on the LCD.
  2. Adjust Settings: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to modify the stitch length and width as needed. The LCD will display the values.
  3. Automatic Settings: For many stitches, the machine will suggest a default length and width. You can override these.
  4. Memory Function: The machine may remember the last settings used for a particular stitch.
  5. Twin Needle Sewing: Select a straight or zigzag stitch suitable for twin needles, install twin needle, and reduce stitch width.
  6. Mirror Imaging: Some models allow mirroring a decorative stitch pattern.

WARNING! Do not force the stitch selection dial. Ensure the needle is appropriate for the selected stitch width to avoid breakage.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the machine before any maintenance. Regular cleaning prevents lint buildup and ensures smooth operation.

  1. Remove the needle plate screws and lift off the needle plate.
  2. Use the small brush provided to remove lint and thread bits from the feed dogs, bobbin area, and hook.
  3. Replace the needle plate and screws.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth.
  5. Oil the machine only as specified in the manual, typically a drop of sewing machine oil on the hook race after extensive use.

CAUTION! Do not use compressed air, as it can force lint deeper into the mechanism. Never immerse the machine in water.
