Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

  1. Attach power cord: Plug adapter into machine, then into 120V outlet.
  2. Install foot pedal: Connect to machine port, place on floor.
  3. Attach accessory tray: Snap into place at right of machine.
  4. Install needle: Loosen screw, insert needle flat side back, tighten.
  5. Wind bobbin: Follow threading diagram; place bobbin in case.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during setup. Ensure machine is unplugged when installing needle.

First-Time Operation

Plug in machine; turn power switch ON.

  1. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered path; use automatic threader.
  2. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into case, thread through slot.
  3. Raise presser foot: Lift lever to raise foot.
  4. Select stitch: Turn pattern dial or press stitch button.
  5. Test sew: Place fabric, lower presser foot, gently press pedal.

CAUTION! Always lower presser foot before sewing. Start at slow speed.

Stitch Selection & Functions

  3. For buttonhole: Select buttonhole stitch, place button in foot, machine auto-sizes.
  4. Reverse: Hold button to sew backwards for reinforcement.
  5. Needle position: Use adjustment to move needle left/right.

Tip: Test stitch on scrap fabric first. Refer to stitch guide for recommended settings.

Threading & Bobbin Winding

Upper Threading:

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Follow numbered path on machine.
  3. Use automatic threader: Lower lever, hook thread, pull back.

Bobbin Winding:

  1. Place spool on pin, thread through guide.
  2. Wind thread around bobbin clockwise.
  3. Push bobbin winder to right, press pedal.
  4. Stop when full; cut thread, push winder left.

WARNING! Ensure machine is off during threading. Keep threads taut.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug before maintenance. Clean lint regularly with brush.

  1. Remove needle plate screws; lift plate.
  2. Use brush to remove lint from feed dogs and bobbin area.
  3. Oil moving parts per manual instructions (sparingly).
  4. Wipe exterior with dry cloth.

CAUTION! Do not use compressed air; it can force lint deeper. Never oil without unplugging.

Safety Information
